What does “first matching favorite dish” mean? is the list of favorite dishes sorted by ID or is the ID for choosing from their favorite dishes irrelavant? Or is there another criterion for choosing from their favorite dishes?

As explained here, exclusions are applied before favorites. Within favoriteDishes, “first matching” means the first eligible dish in the array’s given order. Recipe IDs are irrelevant at this stage; they are used only by the later tie-breaker.

The former: go favorite dish by favorite dish in the order given in favoriteDishes.
