Delivery order priority

Hello,
consider currentTick =T and the case where an order take N ticks to deliver, implying the delivery computation estimates that the order would reach at visitingTick = T+(N+3). 2 questions here:

1)When is this order taken, in context of the simulation, i.e. the order requires the restaurant to reserve ingredients - when does this happen exactly - when the restaurant is assigned to the customerGroup during restaurant decision or during the ordering phase with all other dine-in customers (in the order of customer type and ascending order)

  1. If the delivery order is being placed as soon as the restaurant decision is being made, is it the case that the meals associated to the delivery order are handed over to the kitchen before the dine-in orders come in, i.e. as soon as the order is placed? I wish to understand the priority a delivery order has compared to dine-in orders

Thanks!

The delivery order is placed during the ordering phase, together with the dine-in orders.

There is no special priority assigned to delivery orders over dine-in orders.

Hello,
I have a follow-up question regarding this. Based on this from the specification, it appears that the customer has to place an order immediately after selecting the restaurant. Why is it being said that the customer actually places their order later in the ordering phase?

Thanks!

Here, “immediately” means within the same tick. All customer groups first decide on a restaurant, after which arrivals, seating, table merging, and ordering take place within the same phase.
