Does the browsingservice count drivers, who already received partial meals as free or not?
no, they are not free.
Once a customer group has decided on a restaurant, the service reduces the number of seats according to the group size, or decrements the number of delivery drivers available,
So will they be seen as reserved already from this point on? Because my tutor told it to me like that, that they will be seen as reserved for this tick and then free again until he actually drives of, and for this scenario I’m not sure wether he’s already seen as “driving” when he receives meals or only when he actually starts driving
Hi,
To be more precise than my earlier answer: the decrement when a group decides is only an estimate for the current tick, so other groups deciding in the same tick don’t pick the same driver. From the next tick on, the browsing service looks at the drivers’ actual state again. For that, a driver counts as busy only once they have the complete order and start the delivery (prepare driving). A driver who has only received part of an order hasn’t left yet, so the browsing service still counts them as free. So your tutor is right.
Only deliveries already given to a driver continue after the opening time of the restaurant until the end of the evening.
And how is it with this scenario?
Hi, a driver with only part of an order hasn’t been given the delivery yet. After the opening time ends, nothing more is handed over, so this driver just stucks there. Also the group will not gets its food, and gives up and rates NEGATIVE 3 ticks after its visitingTick if that tick is still within the evening.
