Event customer reservations

So, if we have a restaurant with 30 seats, could it be that two event groups of 20 reserve for the same evening or does the browsing service do anything to prevent that?

No. After the first EVENT group of 20 chooses the restaurant, the browsing estimate has only 10 seats remaining, so the second group of 20 will not receive it as an eligible match.

However, no concrete tables are reserved yet: the restaurant only records the event and assigns tables on the eventEvening, as stated in the clarification.

Thank you!

Does the estimation consider the requested type of table? And does it consider if there could be a table at all? For example, if an EVENT group of 20 that wants a SEPARATED table (that can not be merged) requests a table in a restaurant that has 3x a separated table with a capacity of 10, could it plan to go to that restaurant, even though finding a table would always be impossible?

The requested table type is considered: the browsing service tracks estimated available seats per table type (page 23, lines 24–34). However, it does not perform the concrete table assignment or merging because this happens on the eventEvening, according to adjustment 14.

Note that SEPARATED tables can be merged! Only BAR tables cannot (page 17, lines 26–30).

With three 10-seat BARtables, a group of 20 could therefore select the restaurant based on the 30-seat estimate but later be rejected in eventEvening.
