When validating the favorite Dishes object within the eventcustomers, do we have to validate manually that each restauranttype only occurs once? Because when parsing it via serialisable, I have to parse it as a map, and then only the last value gets saved, but no flag that there were duplicates
No. favoriteDishes is defined as a dictionary/map from restaurant type to dish (page 21, Figure 6), and duplicate JSON keys are not listed as a separate validation constraint. You only need to validate that there is one resulting favorite dish for every restaurant type the EVENT group considers (page 30, lines 6-8).
