Functions outside of classes

Is it necessary for all functions in this project to be part of a class?

Or would it be possible to have some functions (during simulation initialization) as functions outside of classes?

Hi,

this would be possible in Kotlin. However you should think about if you really wanna do this. Would this benefit your design?

In our case, I am pretty certain that it would not negatively affect our design and simplify the sequence diagram a bit while still allowing us to keep code clean, but I think the details are something that we should probably discuss with our tutor/during the review.
