Minijob Attendance Requirement lift

I read in the CMS Main Page that for people with minijobs, the attendance requirement is lifted for one day per week in the group phase, with the default day being Tuesday. But for some reason, in the CMS text, it was ommited that this would not be the case in the first week, which is mentioned in the Organizational Matters file:

To accommodate students with minijobs, the attendance requirement is lifted for one day per week in the Software Engineering Lab. By default, this day is Tuesday (excluding the first week of the group phase), but groups may select a different day.

I was not aware of this first week exception until now, and i am unsure how to interpret this. Can my Attendance Requirement be lifted in the first week at all? Does it just have to be a different day than Tuesday or or must i come every single day in the first week?

Since I need to tell my Employer if or when I’ll be available in the next week I would appreciate a quick reply. Thanks in advance :slight_smile: .

I don’t know the rules for this year, but maybe this helps: Last year, groups decided which day they wanted to have as the day with no mandatory attendance. This can only be decided once groups have actually been assigned and met up, which obviously everyone needs to be there for. Groups will be assigned on Tuesday, so you have to be there.

Monday is not in the group phase, so there’s no mandatory attendance yet (but there are lectures and a practical tutorial).
