Ticks > 24 (say tick 42424267)?

The specification says

The ticks start with number tick = 1 and increment through the
evenings. All actions within a tick are performed consecutively. (p.10)

Does this mean that we should reset the ticks each evening and they always stay in the range [1,24] or do they increase indefinitely?

they always stay in the range [1,24], the tick is logged as the tick number and followed by the evening number, e.g. “[IMPORTANT] Simulation: Tick 2 (1) started.” means the second tick in the first evening.
