Use of different Design language

Can we, instead of PlantUml, use something like d2 to create our design, given that we can create the pdf in the end?

Its language is structured very similiarly to PlantUML and can be understood without having to learn a new language, but provides some nice features like easier management of where each component is placed to be visually attractive.
