What happens with ingredients at the end of opening time?

Hi, I think there is a contradiction in the specification regarding what happens with reserved ingredients in unfinished meals. One time it says the ingredients of an unfinished meal return to the pantry:

(page 12)

and one time that the started meals are thrown away:

“If a restaurant has reached the end of the opening time and customers are still inside, you can assume that they are all escorted outside immediately. The kitchen stops working, unused ingredients remain in the pantry and reservation from this evening are discarded. All started or cooked meals are thrown away or eaten by the staff.” (Page 20)

Thanks in advance for claryfying this!

Hi,

The return rule applies to meals that are still within the kitchen and have not been served to the customer. [Page 12; Kitchen]

Once a meal has been served to the customer but not (completely) eaten by the customer, it will not be returned to the pantry (i.e. will be eaten/thrown by the staff). [Page 21; End of Evening]

Hope this clears things up.
