What increments rating count?

For the rating count log message:

[IMPORTANT] Simulation Statistics: Restaurant $restaurant:id received $rating:number ratings.

Do we only count ratings made during the simulation or do we also consider the ratings the restaurant already has at the start (as defined in the JSON)?

So if a restaurant starts with 5 positive ratings, and 3 negative ratings, and recieves no ratings during the simulation, do we we log “received 8 ratings” or “received 0 ratings”.

Yes, the statistic reports the running total, including ratings from the JSON. So, log received 8 ratings.

Yes, it has changed. Browsing service considers the ratings the restaurant already has at the start (as defined in the JSON). However, we log the total rating within the simulation.
